Web 2.0, as it relates to recruiting is as big, IF NOT BIGGER, than when job boards evolved in the early 90’s and shifted a print-dominated application process to an electronic process. Web 2.0 tools will dramatically shift the way recruiters interact with candidates and the way candidates will interact with companies.
It’s an exciting time to be in the field of staffing as Web 2.0 applications become usable enterprise 2.0 solutions.
The purpose of this blog is to review and discuss recruiting strategies that leverage the power of Web 2.0.
Corporations, small businesses, non-profits and agency recruiters are increasingly moving beyond the “post & pray” method of finding talent online and moving to a more two-way social interaction with potential employees. I like to call it the “Network & Nurture” approach to recruiting.
Though still in it’s infancy, recruiters who have mastered a few of the tools and techniques in this environment are reaping the benefits by identifying high quality, passive candidates who aren’t on the job boards applying to everything that gets snagged by their job search agents.
This blog will uncover the top vendors, tools, concepts and recruiters who are making a difference in the “Recruiting 2.0″ environment. Please join me in discussing the most exciting time in recruiting history!
